Australia is set to become the first country to be able to produce electricity from the sun.
The National Electricity Market Agency announced on Tuesday that the first commercial-scale solar power plant will be built in the north-west of the country.
The announcement follows a landmark solar project in South Australia’s Pilbara region that has brought an estimated $5.5 million in investment to the region.
The first commercial solar power project in the Pilbara has brought in $5 million.
