You can get caught on a side street or on the shoulder of a freeway without getting a ticket.
But you can’t buy a used car without being caught, and that’s exactly what happened to a 22-year-old woman driving a 2005 Honda Accord on Saturday night.
The driver, who has not been identified, was traveling on Interstate 10 near I-15 when she lost control of the vehicle, according to a report from the Texas Department of Public Safety.
She struck a median and crashed into a guardrail, before breaking into a nearby house and then an apartment complex, where she was found by authorities.
The woman was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Police say she was traveling northbound on I-10 when she made the reckless move.
The report states the driver was traveling at approximately 65 mph when she drove over the guardrail and into the complex.
The crash happened at around 6:30 p.m. at the complex on East Main Street.
The victim was taken by ambulance to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Fort Worth.
The accident resulted in the victim’s death.
